Unveiling the “Nexus رابط” Group Exhibition at VerpackereiGö

I am incredibly excited to invite you to the upcoming “Nexus رابط” group exhibition at the VerpackereiGö Gallery in Görisried, Germany. This unique exhibition, opening on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 5 pm, showcases an array of captivating art, including my project “Chaos فوضى“, the work of the Egyptian pavilion from the 59th Venice Biennale, and contributions from artists Tatjana Vall and Lukas Rehm.

Celebrating Friendship and Cultural Exchange

The “Nexus رابط” exhibition holds special significance as it commemorates 25 years of friendship and cultural exchange between artists Bruno Wank, Sameh Al Tawil (me), Mohamed Shoukry, and Weaam El Masry. This creative collaboration has transcended borders, languages, and cultures, bringing together artists with diverse backgrounds to create an inspiring and thought-provoking art experience.

Featured Artworks
Sameh Al Tawil’s  “Chaos فوضى” Art Project

This very recent and contentious art project focuses on the visualization of sound. The artist is playing live piano sounds that are developed for 2D/3D visual responses these produce when analysed in real-time using OSC/MIDI transmission software developed originally for this performance. With this software, the phase and amplitude of Music signals can be generated graphically and projected on the exhibition’s walls using a high definition video projector.
CHAOS researches the potential to perceive the invisible multi-substance of data that penetrates our world. It is a sequence of art experiments in diverse forms – audio/visual, concerts, installations, printings and soundtrack releases – that attempt to substantiate and visualize sonic data, Using signals from Al Tawil’s digital piano as the main source of sounds and visuals.

This project combines abstract and imitative representations of matters, space and time. [Sonat 1.0] is the first audiovisual performance in CHAOS series.

Egyptian Pavilion from the 59th Venice Biennale

This big installation from the Egyptian pavilion showcases a unique perspectives of three Egyptian artists. It offers insight into the contemporary art scene in Egypt and highlights the diverse talent emanating from the Egyptian  vibrant culture.

Tatjana Vall and Lukas Rehm

Both accomplished artists in their own right, Tatjana Vall and Lukas Rehm contribute their distinctive artistic styles to the “Nexus رابط” exhibition. Their works complement the other featured pieces, creating a rich and engaging artistic experience for viewers.
